Every year for Christmas my in-laws give us a check to buy
gifts for our family from them. Sometimes we get a cool family present, but
usually we just purchase our regular dinky gifts and slap a tag that says love
grandma and grandpa on them.
2 years ago I wanted to do something more special, something
that would last all year and remind my kids over and over that it was from
grandma and grandpa. I came up with a “ticket gift basket.”
In a nice basket I
arranged several gift cards and tickets on skewers at different heights along
with some snowflakes and festive tinsel.
Each gift card was for an EXPERIENCE
from grandma and grandpa.
-McDonald’s ice cream cone vouchers
-Tickets to a Ballet
-BYU basketball game tickets
-Restaurant gift cards
-Heber Creeper Railroad Train Tickets
-Zoo passes
-Visit to grandma and grandpa voucher
-Goofy golfing and bowling passes
-Hiking trip voucher
Can’t remember if I got them all on that list or not, but
you get the idea. For the entire year following we enjoyed making great
memories thanks to grandma and grandpa!
